Here is the final product. Perfect? No. But I did my best holding off a three month with a paci so I could try to ice the cake. It's kinda pretty isn't it? I can't wait to surprise my husband with it later. I am sure it will be delicious. Homemade icing is the key, and if you can't make it homemade, then fake it!!!! Fake it til you make it.

Yes, I did use a store bought cream cheese icing, but don't worry, I fixed it up a bit to where it ALMOST tastes homemade. There is nothing like homemade icing, but my mission was to make it as easy as possible this time. I used a little bit of vanilla and powdered sugar to fluff it up a bit. It tastes so good that I could barely keep my finger out of the bowl. I am sure if Blake was old enough, his fingers would be in the bowl too.

Blake and I decided to bake a cake today. Here is the strawberry cake before going into the oven. We just used a simple box recipe from the store. It's much easier that way since most of my time is devoted to my three month old.
